Born and raised near the Rubicon and Laguna Seca, I always loved cars. When inheriting the vehicle that I grew up in, my hands-on mechanical ability began to grow exponentially.
The past time of bringing this ‘97 Wrangler back to life and going off-roading is a fun way to combine the two joys of the outdoors and problem solving.
Detroit Auto-Lock differential : Disassembling the differential revealed reasons behind abnormal torque distribution issues.

Detroit Auto-Lock differential, fully disassembled.
Broken Clutch Pack and Retainer meant the Rear Right Wheel was the only drive wheel with power and Rear Left Wheel became a free Wheel, rendering 2WD useless. Replaced Detroit Locker With Stock Open Differential.

New weld for Upper Support Arm after handling Became Erratic Above 30 Mph. Weldment had sheared around same time Radiator cavity Was Found, assumed to be a result of storage and inactivity in an area of extreme weather.

Repairs successful. Moderate 10 mile trail after restoration.
Recent Project : Birch Tailgate Table. Folded Position.
Tailgate Table in open position. Mounted via adhesive and paracord; Rated loads at 50lbs and 100lbs, respectively. Weight tested with incrementing dumbbells confirm 50lbs without extreme deformation.
Custom weld Storage Rack and Rear Bumper, full disassembly.
All parts inspected for rust.
Rust is cleared away with an abrasive wheel, then Painted (Refer to main image at the top of the page to see the end result, rack located near the rear over spare tire).

Replacing fuel pump assembly, eliminated long ignition times due to a faulty fuel valve check.
