About Me

Where it Started: Monterey, California

Growing up near forests, beaches, and mountains, developed a personal appreciation for natural sciences. Furthermore, being fortunate enough to live in such environments, offered several opportunities to learn hands on. These opportunities can be as simple as working on dad’s car, learning to read the ocean for good surfing, or volunteering for a local conservation.

Moving from one town to the next, new ways to find opportunities was needed to fulfill natural curiosities and to work hands on. These opportunities often came in the form of hobbies. Initial projects began with things as small as off the shelf soldering kits but quickly evolved into more technical and even theoretical practices.

By 2015, a special recognition from NASA for a solo design project in 2015 was received for a theoretical design of an interplanetary space station. This is what lit the fire for the pursuit of a degree in Mechanical Engineer.

Where I am Today: Los Angeles, California

In May of 2020, I graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Northridge. Graduating in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, all of my career opportunities needed to be re-evaluated. To avoid taking a long unexpected break from engineering, I pursued an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at California State University, Northridge, graduating in May of 2024. My graduation came with the completion of my thesis “Evaluation of contact defects in bio-inspired dry adhesives using guided waves”.

Fortunately, in October of 2021, I was picked up by the United States Air Force and secured a job in Research and Development for the 412th Test Wing as a civilian. With this position, I have expanded not only as a mechanical engineering but in aerospace, systems, electrical, radio frequency, and computer engineering fields as well.

My current goals are to continue expanding in these fields to further my education as an engineer and to be the best that I can be.
