Restoration
When repairing or restoring, there is always an opportunity to learn something unique. Repair work around the house, cars, or personal projects has given me a lot of experience with a variety of tools, materials, and learning opportunities. (i.e. using a strobe light to fix the idle on an old car, finding a faulty heating element in a expresso machine, or repairing the bottom bracket to a bike).
Abandoned Fishing Boat

Rotted seats and rusty fasteners are removed so the boat can receive a much needed cleaning.

Seats are cut from Marine Ply and coated in resin. New seats are removed so they can be filled with foam for buoyancy.

Boat painted and holes are sealed (liquid foam molds have been removed for this image).

Transom is cut out, fitted, and Sealed. Outboard motor is then repaired and tuned.

Cassette Deck Disassembly. Tapes began running at irregular speeds so belts were to be inspected and replaced.

Epoxy is laid down in layers to avoid heat cracks and to help return the proper board shape.
Epoxy is sanded and fiberglass sheets are laid down with another coating of resin.
